When we first met Hans and Kody they were homeless.
Well, not quite literally, but they were both living in a hostel for homeless men (even though, at 18, they were really just boys.)
With no work in their local East European town and with unbearably strict parents (Hans) or no parents at all (Kody), they’d had nowhere else to stay.
And that’s how they met each other – and how they fell in love.
Because the hostel had no privacy at all ("Even the toilets were open plan in case anyone was using drugs there!" says Kody), the only placve that the boys could spend any quality time with each other was at the shoreline which, thankfully, was usually pretty deserted.
That’s where we actually met them and, even with our gaydar only set at minimum, it was pretty easy to detect that these two were "special" friends.
In fact, we were the first gay people – apart from each other – that the boys had ever encountered and they were really keen to find out about the wider gay world.
Of course, what we wanted to do, on the other hand, was find out all about Hans and Kody – and in the most intimate detail too.
It wasn’t long before we’d worked our magical arts of persuasion and convinced the boys that they really ought to become HMBoys and share themselves with our members.
After all, with the money that we’d be paying them for their services they’d be able to afford to check out of that godforsaken hostel and put down a deposit on a small – but perfectly pleasant – apartment.
And all that we’d require in return was that they put down two – rather more creamy – deposits for us!
